Privacy at Lunar
This page summarises how Lunar handles data today. A formal privacy policy reviewed by legal counsel is being prepared — contact us if you need a signed document for procurement.
What Lunar is
Lunar is a web platform for rooftop solar operators in India — a shared system of record for PPA and AMC contracts, service visits, billing evidence, and compliance alerts. EPC teams and client organisations (societies, investors, facility managers) access the same underlying records according to their role.
Data we process
- Account data — name, email, phone, company affiliation, and authentication credentials managed through our auth provider.
- Site and contract data — society or commercial site details, contract terms, tariffs, visit schedules, and uploaded contract documents.
- Operational evidence — visit photos, meter readings, invoices, payment proofs, and incident reports uploaded by authorised users.
- Usage and audit logs — sign-in events, role-based access, and tamper-evident activity needed to support disputes and compliance.
How we use it
Data is used only to operate the Lunar service: displaying shared records to authorised parties, generating alerts when obligations are missed, cross-checking bills against generation, and supporting customer support. We do not sell personal data. Access is enforced by role and site scope inside the product.
Storage and security
Application data is stored in encrypted cloud infrastructure (PostgreSQL and object storage) with row-level access controls. File uploads are restricted to safe document and image types. Operational access by Lunar staff is limited and logged.
Your choices
